"There’s no Hospitality like Crystal Coast Hospitality"

Hospitality -
1. the friendly reception and treatment of guests or strangers.
2. the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way.

The Crystal Coast Hospitality Association is a membership organization compiled of both business and individual members that come together to form our industry association. Our goal is to help promote tourism for the Crystal Coast along with providing a venue for our businesses to pull together and discuss issues that matter to us and affect our daily operations. We are effective, strong and active in our community. We also have 2 elected representatives on the Carteret County Tourism Development Board.

The association is self funded through membership dues and advertising in our annual Beach Vacation Planner. Through the Crystal Coast Tourism Authority's Tourism Enhancement Fund Program, our organization has been awarded a grant, which helped us to launch a comprehensive program to promote Carteret County. By the end of this fiscal year, the Hospitality Association will have matched the TDA Grant with an equal amount of its own funds to promote events that draw visitors to our beautiful area. Through local hospitality of the great businesses in our community, we can keep them coming back. We are proud of the Crystal Coast and we want everyone to know it!

Our Beach Vacation Planner is an annual publication distributed to our North Carolina Welcome/Visitors centers and directly mailed to all inquiries obtained through our website and requests through the TDA toll free number. Our members have advertising opportunities in the Beach Vacation Planner which allows them to reach the visitors prior to them arriving to the Crystal Coast. We also take advantage of co-op advertising programs that are offered to us through the TDA. This allows us to reach visitors through different avenues. We also have a weekly ad that runs in the News and Observer to help promote local events. We have recently re-constructed the CCHA website to be a more user friendly site for visitors to find the desired accommodations, restaurants, events and activities for their vacation on the Crystal Coast.

The CCHA is not only extending hospitality to our visitors but to each other. The association provides an outstanding support for "like" businesses that are facing "like" issues. For example, through the CCHA, the restaurants were able to pull together over the inspection problems several years ago. The association also bonded together to re-write the laws for the Occupancy Tax. We also support community actions such as the Save Our Summers Campaign. In and effort to make sure we not only have a voice locally but in our state capitol as well, the CCHA became an allied member of the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association. This organization is a place for our businesses to pull together and discuss issues that matter to us and affect our operations. We are here for the visitors but we are also here for each other.

Our business meetings are held at 10:00AM on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Location and speaker will be announced about a week prior to the scheduled meeting.

Any business that offers hospitality is welcome to be a part of this organization. The Crystal Coast Hospitality Association is a self funded, effective voice for the promotion of tourism on the Crystal Coast. Our goal is to promote the Crystal Coast through advertising and our local hospitality. After all, "There's no hospitality like the Crystal Coast Hospitality"!
